Dimi, I'm downloading this now.  Is this for your next recording?  If so I'm going to retitle the thread so people know.  It's ok if you don't have a title yet.

Hey man, as soon as I get the new CP website up, I would like to host a song of yours on our links page.  Preferably this one.  BTW, I got your album but I haven't had time to listen to it yet!  ARGH.  I will soon.

It's a very nice work! The arrangement is very accurate so drum programming. May I suggest you that the acoustic guitar recorded with piezo sounds a little "plastic" so you may consider getting a not-too-expensive microphone (like http://www.rmcaudio.com/rode_mics/nt5s.htm) for your acoustic guitar to sound a little more "authentic"? I've done this yesterday and can't wait to get some time to track down another tune ^^

Dimitar, you might want to upload a .zip file instead of a .rar.  While I can open a .rar, most people don't know what it is.  (I think)

yeah, the .rar isn't working for me.  It says something about corrupt headers.  Really digging the last two mixes though.  Man, you're such a talent.

Listening now. As we have become used to, your guitar playing is very fluid. I especially like the presence of the drums in the mix - they add that little intangible something to really sell the rhythm.  This one is turning out very well & I for one like it very much.  Great job.

It goes without saying that when you're ready, send me the mp3 & I'll put it on my show.

Listening now. I love the way this piece starts - exotic - at least to my American ears.  Great percussive elements throughout.  Then at 1:38 we are treated to a  beautifully executed segue into Virtuoso Instrumental Rock. This section coupled with the first part constitute a wonderful piece of music. Excellent blending of styles. Seamless, hypnotic, dare I say entrancing.

It goes without saying that I will use this one on a future A'swepe Hour.

Thanks Dimi - I love it.

BTW - I stumbled upon your YouTube video for this tune by typing the title into Google.  Good one!!

I'm merging the new Dimitar topics.  I think it would be best to keep everything consolidated as much as possible for each artist to avoid clutter.  This goes for anyone here.

Here's a picture of the instrument you're referencing.  I don't think I've heard of it before, but it does indeed sound cool.

Did you just get it?

Vania's Garden will lead off The Prog Set on the 14 March 09 edition of The A'swepe Hour from Somewhere in Texas.

Tenochtitlan Ridge is queued up for Volume 47 - 11 April 09.

Thought you'd like to know.

Hey Dimi,

I just listened to the first two (gardens, and the title I can't pronounce  Grin )

First thing, you have such a great Satriani vibe, and yet you have your own unique style. In other words, you have his vibe, but you are not a Satriani ripoff. I fully intend to purchase one of your CD's here very soon for sure (I allow myself to buy one new CD a month  Cheesy )

I thought Vania's Garden was great. After one listen I can't say I have anything to critique. Tenochtitlan Ridge was certainly a nice piece of work, but I personally did not like it as much, which is weird, because Dave and I have very similar tastes in music. I'm not sure if it was the "exotic" feel to it, but I will tell you this: my big love is music that has the guitar, keyboards, and drums playing precisely mapped out sections of music (I hope that makes sense. Dream Theatre's instrumental music is a good example).

Hell's Kitchen (off of Falling into Infinity by DT) starts off with a great guitar solo over a grooving drum beat. 3/4 of the way through, everyone starts to play the same thing so-to-speak, and ends with a big unison scale. That's my cup of tea right there.

I guess I'm just trying to explain that although I do love great guitar playing over a foundation of rhythms by the drums and bass, I especially love when all of the instruments play a complex arrangement together. So, not liking the Teno Ridge I think is more of it not being up my alley if you will.

OK, so I just rambled a lot trying to make a simple point. I just want you to understand where I'm coming from musically.

When I get the chance later, I'll listen to the other song you just posted.

Rock on!

I just downloaded the track and will listen later.

Tim, that's my favorite part!  UNGH!

This is really neat.  Very Eric Johnson vibe to me, and I can definitely see the "Hell's Kitchen" reference, especially with the #4 in the opening.

this one is really nice.   I like the clean guitar tone a lot.  I hear a little stevie ray vaughn, some vai, some good solid chops!  Way to let the song breath, no overplaying, no notes for the sake of playing notes.  Good job, sounds good!
